Harland Energy Company is owner operated by a seasoned energy professional with 20+ years of experience in the energy business. During his tenure in the power industry Mr De Lairre took part in the development and 100% non-recourse financing of the first independent power project (IPP) in the United States, Ocean State Power I and II, a 500 mw gas fired combined cycle power plant in Burrillville, Rhode Island. He was a leading member of the consortium that won the first IPP power tender in Colombia, South America, Las Flores, a 150 mw gas fired combined cycle facility. He negotiated a power sales and fuel supply agreement with Hungary's largest utilities MVM rt, and MOL rt a first joint venture between the two entities in Hungary. Other highlights include acquisition and construction of a 293 Mw power Barge in Nigeria, and the acquisition and upgrade of thermal facilities in the Czech Republic and East Germany. More recently Mr Delairre has taken part in the acquisition of several large scale solar facilities.
